I’ve been doing this research for a while, based on what I know, a slot machine can break into 4 genres: classical one-line slot, ordinary slot, hold & win slot and jackpot slot. My research shows that not all slots are guaranteed to have a jackpot gameplay, there may be some slots with certain big prizes, but a jackpot slot stands for those with accumulative or fixed prizes, other than that belongs to different genres.
Jackpot slot is still on the edge of blurry, some providers don’t even understand the concept of “jackpot”, and put the jackpot tag on game logo whatever they want. Jackpot original means a pool of accumulated cash prize(s) waiting to be jointly competed, and now not much online jackpot slots are able to cover this idea.
Online jackpot slots currently released are more of a fixed-prize type and the only competitor is casino owner. In most scenarios, players will be able to access jackpot(s) by collecting corresponding symbols. Sounds familiar? Yes, it has become a variant of bonus game, symbolized for advertising purposes.
After all, producing a slot with globally accumulative jackpot is a big challenge for game providers. The efforts put can be used to develop multiple slots with higher profit, no one is THAT stupid to actually bring this idea into reality.
